Attached please find a copy of our Virtual Summit Calendar which includes a list of “Next Steps” for Participating Organizations. Here are just a few items to highlight as we move closer to 10.11.12:
  1. Thursday, September 20th 2:00pm – 3:00pm EST: Join us for our Countdown to the Day of the Girl Tweet Up @DayoftheGirl – this Tweet Up is an opportunity for participating organizations to connect, share resources, ask questions re: the Virtual Summit, and help get the word out about first Day of the Girl.
  2. Please do your utmost to spread the word about the Virtual Summit over the next 24 days! Our goal is 25,000 registrants for the Virtual Summit and we need your help to reach this goal!
  3. 3. Starting on October 1st, we will host the 11 Days of Action leading up to October 11th LIVE video broadcast. Each night from 7:00pm – 8:00pm EST Summit members may join online discussions that highlight the unique challenges and opportunities related to girls’ empowerment and leadership. Topics include: what does the Day of the Girl mean to girls, Overview of the Proclamation Projects, Girls’ Education, Girls’ Leadership and Social Change, Girls at the United Nations and much more. Please join us for these fantastic discussions.
